Beautiful Music

I loved this song to walk down the aisle to but it was vetoed by Paul, my MIL to be and one of my bridesmaids.  They thought it was a little too fast, I reasoned I would just walk faster…that still failed to win them over.  At some point through the wedding, I WILL play this song.  I love the words and the melody and it makes me all weepy, if that isn’t the makings of a perfect wedding song, I don’t know what is.

I am in love

Paul and I are working on our wedding songs and I am in love with this song for the bouquet toss.

No We’re Getting Somewhere

At long last, after tears, nightmares and countless frustrations we finally booked our venue!

The first week we decided on a local venue, the second week we decided on a destination wedding, in the third week we were thinking Northern California and in the fourth week we were thinking of eloping.  But after all the tough decisions we finally picked a venue that felt like the best choice for us.  It’s an open canvas for creativity, it’s cheap to rent and it is local.

The Red Horse Barn is a lovely venue and we are looking forward to transforming it for our special day.

I wanted to get married in a barn and sadly, though it has the word barn in the title, there is no barn to speak of.  It does however have horses which is a plus. It’s a romantic little venue that I think is a really good fit for us.

I’m told the craziness is all part of the wedding process.  The bumps and obstacles are something that everyone says is a normal part of the wedding process. I know we have more bumps for us along the way but I think we are doing pretty darn good considering we are still 11 months away from the wedding.

We have booked all our major vendors; the photographer, caterer, DJ and wedding coordinator.

I am happy to say that I am now going to try and get a little distance from all this wedding madness and take time away from it all to enjoy the holidays!

Where Am I?
