today I healed the world, and got free ice cream

I haven’t traveled outside of the US in the past 3 years, I’ve never used a needle for illegal drug purposes, I have an iron count of 14, no one I have slept with has slept with another male since 1988 and it is one of the items on my “List”, so the question is “WHY WOULDN’T I GIVE BLOOD?!!?!” Today I crossed off an item on my List, to give blood. I even trained for it by taking an iron pill this morning, drinking plenty of water and eating a healthy breakfast of Cheerios. If you haven’t heard, I have Type O Negative blood, which makes me special like a unicorn. And, I didn’t pass out while giving blood, which makes me awesome, like a rockstar.
I’m completely freaked out by needles, so I’ve never given blood. But for free ice cream I might just do it!
