Jacky and Crafty Update

Happy Friday everyone! I appreciate all the good thoughts sent my way yesterday for Jack. He spent the night in the hospital and is coming home today. Long story short – we need to crack away at his bucket list. Jack is 12 years old and has defied all the odds of survival after being diagnosed with acute liver disease 6 years ago. He continues to surprise me and is an inspiration. Jack reminds me that attitude is everything, and being happy is sometimes enough to make you well. This belief has served him well, and teaches me a thing or two about how I should be living my life. Apparently Jack realizes that I’m still pretty bad at it and has decided to stick it out a little longer so I can continue my training.
I look forward to 3:00 when I can bring him home and snuggle his cute floppy ears. Until then, I wanted to bring you a really cool website called Spoonflower. If you are crafty, you will love this website, it you are not crafty…you should have stopped reading after the Jack update.
Spoonflower makes custom fabrics from your ideas and patterns. I can imagine how cool this would be for baby bedding, weddings, photo backdrops and a handful, or rather, Spoonful of other crafty things. It’s as easy as creating your design and uploading the file to their site.

My baby boy (not even close to being a baby) is slowing down. When I left for work this morning he was tired and shaky. I am having a hard time focusing on anything except for how many hours it is going to be until I can get home to sit next to him and pet his tummy. Hopefully this is just one of his slower moments, I know he has those. There have been many times when I thought he was close to the end, only to have him perk up…I pray this is one of those times. If anyone wants to send a prayer up for him, we are accepting every one we can get.

Now, let me preface this by saying I love my puppies. Jack and Charlie are adorable and sweet and fuzzy and wonderful. Paul on the other hand, is more skeptical of late since two days ago his sunglasses were involved in a altercation which resulted in them being torn to bits and marred with markings that looked much like doggy teeth marks. Now for the cheating part…I recently discovered a breed of dog that I want called a GoldenDoodle. I am sure you can deduce this means part Golden Retriever hence the “Golden” and part Poodle hence the “Doodle”. Not only is this the funnest breed of dog to say, but it’s adorable. Paul wants a bulldog and I want a goldendoodle….maybe we should hold out for a goldenbulldogadoodle?
